Javier was born into the beverage industry, starting his career in his family's business in Mexico, which expanded to 300 liquor stores and 14 wholesale operations from Tijuana to Puebla. At just 16, he managed 60 locations in Aguascalientes.

With nearly 25 years of experience in the U.S. liquor industry, he is recognized as an authority on tequila, mezcal, and fine alcoholic beverages. His practical experience is complemented by Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Political Science from the University of Oxford, and he is actively involved in U.S.-Mexico business affairs.
